Fortnite World Cup 2019 Format
The Fortnite World Cup 2019 is best viewed as two different competitions: one for solo players (Solos) and one for duo squads (Duos). The tournament format also had slight differences depending on the competition you wanted to follow.
In the Solos tournament, participants had to fight against each other in an epic 100-player battle royale through six consecutive matches. Each player received points for finishing in the top-15 and killing their opponents, and the player with the largest amount of points at the end of the series was proclaimed the winner. The Solos event had a ton of variance due to the sheer number of high-level players involved, making it the definition of a high-risk, high-reward Fortnite World Cup betting experience.
As for the Duos tournament, participants also clashed with each other in a series of six matches. There were still 100 players on the field, but they were split into 50 squads of two. The scoring system was largely the same, as players were awarded points for achieving a high placement and eliminating their opponents. Once the dust settled, the duo with the most players claimed the trophy and a chunk of the multi-million dollar prize pool. The Duos event also had a degree of randomness to it. However, the fact that players had reliable teammates at their side made it much easier to analyze the field and make educated Fortnite World Cup betting decisions.
Fortnite World Cup 2019 Winners
It’s fair to say that there were no losers at the Fortnite World Cup 2019. The tournament featured a gargantuan $30,000,000 prize pool, and every player walked away with at least $50,000 to their name. However, it was definitely possible to win more than others.
A 16-year-old Sentinels player Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf received a massive $3,000,000 check for finishing first in the Solos category. This made Giersdorg an instant celebrity, and he was even invited to prominent talk shows. The Fortnite World Cup 2019 winners in the Duos event – Emil “Nyhrox” Bergquist Pedersen and David “aqua” Wang—also got $3,000,000 for their efforts.
Of course, anyone interested in Fortnite World Cup betting would do well to keep track of these names in the future. However, there’s an even bigger lesson to be learned here. None of these players were seen as the favorites coming into the tournament, and if you want to be successful at Fortnite World Cup betting, you should always pay attention to the up-and-comers.
